The Service
For people who have needs which fall outside the services offered by other statutory organisations or other group. It can include shopping, dog-walking, having a companion with whom to attend social events, a sitting service to relieve carers, someone to teach a housebound person to use a computer – in fact, while not being able to guarantee a solution, the scheme will consider any situation where a volunteer could enable someone to continue to live independently, relieve social isolation or improve their quality of life.
Volunteers
Volunteers from a wide range of backgrounds and with a wide range of interests are needed on this scheme.
