Ripon CVS serves the northern, predominantly rural area of the Harrogate District, the Southern part being served by Harrogate CVS. This is a predominantly rural area covering 240 square miles, with a population of 39,000.
Within the area public transport is generally poor and many experience isolation or difficulty in reaching services. There is a constant need for information and individual support which the CVS addresses. Two of our areas, Pateley Bridge and Masham, have over 40% of households with one or more pensioners.
